Futsal isn’t just football indoors…

Futsal is played on a harder surface, with a denser ball and smaller space/ fewer players than traditional 7v7-11v11 football.

What does this mean for Futsal players?

1. Less time to think = quicker decisions to be made
The hard surface, tighter spaces and denser ball means players have to think and play faster! BONUS - this happens without a coach shouting “take less touches” “move the ball” 👀

2. Less players + faster speed = more repetition
Studies comparing Futsal to football found that players on average will touch the ball 6 times more often, per minute in Futsal (or roughly 275%-600% more frequently) over the course of a match

3. VARIETY
In a world with 1-2-1 coaches, small group sessions and pay to play ‘academy’ football teams, football can become overwhelming - Futsal might just be the variety your young player needs 🤝
